Labradorite is a member of the feldspar family and is known for its flash of colors called labradorescence as it is moved. This particular stone has a blue, blue green undertone that changes with the angle it is viewed. It has a Mohs hardness of 6 - 6.5 which makes it more durable than many semi precious gems.
I created this setting for the small but fiery stone to resemble a Victorian style pendant I inherited from my grandmother. The setting is all sterling silver and hangs from an 18" sterling silver chain.
