Large Teardrop Labradorite Pendant
This is a very flashy stone, showing off colors of blue, teal and gold. It is approximately 5/8W x 1" L. The sterling silver setting brings the total width to 3/4W by 1 1/2" L. the piece has been accented with oxidized bead wire.
Labradorite is a member of the feldspar family and is known for its flash of colors called labradorescence as it is moved. This particular stone has a blue, blue green undertone that changes with the angle it is viewed. It has a Mohs hardness of 6 - 6.5 which makes it more durable than many semi precious gems.
