Enormous Labradorite Pendant
Wow! This is a monster stone with some very interesting flashes of color. Depending on the angle of the light, the colors range from a gray slate blue to gold.
This stone required nothing more to set it off than than a simple sterling silver setting. It is hung by a sturdy 20" sterling silver rolo chain.
Labradorite is a member of the feldspar family and is known for its flash of colors called labradorescence as it is moved. This particular stone has a blue, blue green undertone that changes with the angle it is viewed. It has a Mohs hardness of 6 - 6.5 which makes it more durable than many semi precious gems.
